Solving Multi-Objective Two-Sided Assembly Line Balancing Problems by Harmony Search Algorithm Based on Pareto Entropy

Two-sided assembly lines are designed to produce large and complex products, where workers can perform on both sides at the same time. This paper establishes a mathematical model for multi-objective two-sided line balancing problems with additional constraints (MOATALBP). The considers workers’ skill balance of line, aimings maximize efficiency minimize cost smoothness index. A harmony search algorithm(HS) based Pareto entropy (PE-MHS) is proposed solve MOATALBP. difference solutions employed adjust algorithm parameters enhance optimization ability PE-MHS. Moreover, fine-tuning operation combining insertion inverse sequence utilized avoid falling into local optima. Ultimately, non-dominated sorting ensures set well-distributed solutions. experimental results different indicate that achieve better than three classical algorithms (NSGAII, SPEA2 HS)
